In Autumn
Park Kyung-im
In Autumn, I will paint oil paintings.
Autumn
Smells of dry wind.
I will prepare more colors on my canvas
Than rainbow colors.
The leaves scattered on the stone steps
Toward a mountain temple
Resemble her on the bed in the hospital room.
On the bed
Where she is finishing her life,
She etches the tears that she can't shed
Into her chest
And extends her hands that rustle like a fallen leave
To make a parting gesture.
With only her bones left, she has clean eyes
Like a clear sky color.
I want to comfort her arduous journey
By drawing her smile
On a corner of gorgeous oil painting.
Autumn embraces everything
And hides even parting
Deep in her heart.
I soothe the rumbling that cross my throat
With a sip of chrysanthemum tea.

My friend
Park, Kyung-im
While we are eating face-to-face
He changes his expression
And tells us the news of the world.
Even while I do my housework
He laughs without a break
And follows me with a cheerful voice.
When I go to bed tired
At the end of the day's work
He sings a song and cools my head.
Alone time
He soothes me with stories
Without making me feel lonely,
He is a 25 inch square-faced black television.

The Rider
Park Kyung-im
When the red light turns on,
The bees on the road catch their breath for a moment.
The smell of food from the hive
Makes their empty intestines twitch
But they have nothing to eat.
Is it sweat or tears rolling
Under the helmet?
The sun is holding on one leg
Through the goggles.
When the green eyes flash,
Swarms of bees rushing - roaring
The roar of the fragments of life
The wavelengths of air
That breaks the silence
A human bumblebee
Running through the asphalt heat
Through time that is replaced by money
On the smartphone liquid crystal.

A Floating Weed
Park, Kyung-im
A red naked knoll has appeared
On one side dug up by the development of new city
Grass seeds flew on the back of the wind
And hugged the embarrassed naked body,
And the knoll was dressed in green.
Grass and garden trees arrived
In the knoll where weeds lived mingled
The weeds were uprooted and strewn along the roadside
And the knoll was dressed in silk grass.
With beautiful garden trees on the head
And a walkway created,
The red naked knoll got its name as a park.
Grandmother sitting in an old chair
Waiting for her grandson
The weeds that stayed where they left
Became floating weeds again.
The little grass flowers, remained persistent
And rooted among the grass,
Gives a morning greeting.
The puppy grass that has not yet left
Is gathering and withstanding the dawn wind.

Block-stacking
Park Kyung-im
I wanted to get close to the sky
So I climbed the 123-story Tower.
Looking down from the sky
Beneath my feet
Is a world of toys made of blocks.
I can reach out and move it to me
About one apartment building.
The cars blink bloodshot eyes
In the congested street.
Like ants searching for food,
People may disappear into the basement of a city.
As I climb higher, the world becomes smaller
And I smile at those little twists.
The time I spent crying and laughing over there
In search of blocks I wanted was empty.
Like an adult reading the actions of a child,
The world I looked down from a high place
Seemed so easy.

Green Blood
Park Kyung-im
Ipchun* has passed, so it's spring.
Last spring
The road widened with the completion of redevelopment
The day the trees standing on the road
Were cut off with chain saws
And taken away by trucks.
They shed green blood.
Leaving the roots intact,
Pitch-black asphalt
Hot solution was poured.
Whenever I stepped on it,
I could see the tree rings clearly
That used to swell.
This spring,
Can the still growing roots sprout
In pitch-black darkness?
I keep looking at the gap
On the road.

Cart Bar
Park Kyung-im
Let's drag our sweaty bodies of today
To the place where there is alcohol.
Let's wet our parched breasts to survive
With a glass of wine.
The sharp nose of a young man tipping his glass alone
Is sad
The middle aged man's nervousness
That no one does listen
Disappears in the smoke of the eel grilling.
Forgive others for their faults and even my own obstinacy
You and I
Let's fill the glass of the bottom chest.
Lower the wick of lamplight
Hoping that my tears falling in the glass
Will not be seen
Let's talk about life in the place where there is alcohol.
